Dillon Gleeson is a designer and artist who lives and works in Central Florida. Born and raised in the rapidly-developing suburbs of Orlando, in the shadows of Cinderella’s Castle and NASA’s launch pad, Dillon has developed a fascination for the manmade and its relationship to nature and humanity’s wellbeing. This interest is reflected in both 2- and 3-dimensional artworks.
Dillon earned his BFA in Studio Art from Florida State University where he studied design, sculpture, and printmaking. In addition to graduating summa cum laude, he is a two-time recipient of the Ann Kirn Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement in Studio Art. During his time at school, Dillon served as Director of Phyllis Straus Gallery. He was later presented with a University Leadership Award for his various involvements at the College of Fine Arts. He spent his last couple of years in Tallahassee serving his alma mater as the Art Director for one of FSU’s marketing offices.
Dillon currently works as the Lead Designer at ASAP, a print marketing firm based Winter Haven, FL. In his spare time, he can be found reorganizing his backyard shed while listening to Björk on CD, periodically pulling suspicious found objects from his dog’s mouth.
